
Postgame Notes: #10 Florida 41, #8 Michigan 15

• In Michigan's first-ever trip to the Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl, the team suffered its first loss to Florida, falling to 4-1 all-time in the series vs. the Gators.
• U-M is 8-7 against Southeastern Conference teams in bowl games and has a 25-10-1 all-time record against the SEC.
• Today's matchup between No. 8 Michigan and No. 10 Florida represents one of just four top-10 matchups across the bowl season.
• Fifth-year senior defensive end Chase Winovich and senior wide receiver Grant Perry were named captains for the contest, joining season-long captains Tyree Kinnel and Ben Bredeson.
• The U-M defense generated a trio of sacks among eight tackles for loss, led by a sack and 2.5 tackles for loss from defensive end Chase Winovich.
• In his first career start at linebacker, Josh Ross led the team with 11 tackles, a sack and 1.5 tackles for loss, all of which mark career highs.
• Quarterback Shea Patterson made his first career bowl game start this afternoon and completed 22-of-36 passes for 236 yards and one touchdown to go along with two interceptions.
• Wide receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones caught his eighth receiving touchdown of the season in the first quarter and his ninth overall this season (one via punt return). Only Jehu Chesson (nine, 2015) has more receiving touchdowns in a single season at U-M under coach Jim Harbaugh.
• Wide receiver Nico Collins' long reception on the day was a 41-yard gain, marking his eighth game this year with at least one catch of 35-plus yards.
• Kicker Jake Moody converted on a career-long 48-yard field goal, marking his first field goal over 40 yards. Overall, he was 2-of-3 on field goals in the game, with a miss from 52 yards and a 26-yard conversion.
• Safety J'Marick Woods blocked a punt in the second quarter, and it was recovered by special teams ace Jordan Glasgow.
• Linebacker Khaleke Hudson had U-M's second blocked punt of the game at the 4:58 mark of the fourth quarter. The ball bounced out of the end zone for a safety. Hudson also had six total tackles and one tackle for loss.
