ESPN's Marty Smith to Host Michigan Football Awards Show on Dec. 9

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- ESPN reporter Marty Smith, a staple on college football coverage for SportsCenter and College GameDay, will host the 2018 Michigan Football Awards Show on Sunday, Dec. 9, from 3-5 p.m. at Crisler Center.
Tickets for the event can be purchased at the Michigan Ticket Office or online at MGoBlue.com/tickets for $15 in the lower level of the arena and $10 in the upper-level sections. Tickets for U-M students are $5.
This annual football event hosted by the M Club of Greater Detroit will feature the presentation of the team's annual honors and recognize the senior football players with the distribution of their awards and coveted M rings.
In addition to his work on college football, Smith covers reporting for college basketball, The Masters, the Special Olympics World Games and the horse racing Triple Crown. Every Thursday night during the fall, Smith co-hosts the Marty & McGee Show. His recurring interview program, Marty Smith's America, has chronicled the lives of athletes with in-depth features, and the past two springs he attended both Michigan football spring break trips, to Rome and Paris, producing multiple daily reports and features about the Wolverines' international experiences. Smith is also the host of a weekly ESPN podcast, Marty Smith's America, which centers on in-depth interviews of athletes and celebrities.

- Roger Zatkoff Award (top linebacker)
- Richard Katcher Award (top defensive lineman/outside linebacker)
- Hugh Raeder Award (top offensive linemen)
- Toughest Player of the Year Award
- Blue Collar Award (hardest worker)
- Rookie of the Year
- Special Teams Player of the Year
- Offensive Player of the Year
- Defensive Player of the Year
- Bo Schembechler Most Valuable Player of the Year
