Michigan's History at the Landfall Tradition
• U-M will make its sixth trip to the Landfall Tradition.
• Michigan had a string of four straight events from 2005 to 2008. The Wolverines recorded their best finish, tying for third in 2008, and have two top-five finishes after a fifth place showing in 2006.
• Former All-Big Ten golfer Brianna Broderick holds U-M's top finish at the Country Club of Landfall, tying for third in 2006 with a 222 (72-76-74) tally. In fact, U-M had a pair of top-10 individuals after Ali Stinson tied for eighth at 226 (77-76-73).
• After a nine-year break, Kathy Lim, (tie-23rd ; 74-72/146, +2) led U-M to an 11th-place showing the in the rain-shortened event.
• Below is U-M's team breakdown at the Landfall Tradition
   2005: 316-321-315 = 952 (11th of 12)
   2006: 300-315-302 = 917 (5th of 12)
   2007: 306-318-321 = 945 (12th of 12)
   2008: 321-294-301 = 916 (t-3rd of 12)

Wolverine Bites
• Senior Elodie Van Dievoet is expected to play in her 32nd career event (31st start) at the Landfall Tradition. Sophomore Ashley Kim is scheduled to start her 13th straight event since arriving in Ann Arbor. Freshman Ashley Lau will make the fourth consecutive start in her young career.
• In a way-too-early battle for the scoring lead, sophomore Ashley Kim is atop the leaderboard with a 73.75 scoring average. Just one shot back, freshman Ashley Lau is second at 74.75. Junior Alisa Snyder is third with a 75.00 per round average.
• Michigan's "Ashley Duo" of sophomore Ashley Kim and freshman Ashley Lau have become a one-two punch for the Wolverines. They have finished as the top two Wolverines in two of the three events. Both have had all eight rounds count for team scoring. They are 1-2 in scoring with Kim (73.75) and Lau (74.75) and nearly have the top two scores for 36-hole and 54-hole tournament totals this season.
• Freshman Ashley Lau has continued to show consistent scoring for the Wolverines as she has not carded a round worse than 76. In fact, six of her eight rounds this season are 76s -- with three in the first round and two in the final round. She posted a career-best 71 (-1) in the second round of the East & West Match Play stroke play qualifier.
• After getting a phone call from U-M's collegiate neighbor Eastern Michigan, the Eagles invited two individuals to compete in the Shirley Spork Invitational (Oct. 8-9) at the Eagle Crest Golf Club. Freshman Sophia Trombetta tied for third individually with a 147 total. She opened with a career-best, and U-M season-low, 70 (-2) to start before closing with a 77. Fellow freshman Jacqueline Young tied for 43rd with a 163 total.
Inside the Maize and Blue
• Michigan made back-to-back NCAA Regional appearances and advanced to the NCAA Finals in 2016 and 2017. U-M had only one prior NCAA Finals appearance, in 2002, finishing 17th. The Wolverines tied for 18th in 2016 and followed with a tie for 16th in 2017.
• In five seasons under coach Jan Dowling, U-M has posted two top-five finishes at the Big Ten Championships -- 2015 (fifth) and 2017 (fifth). Prior to Dowling's arrival, U-M had recorded just eight total top-five finishes at the conference tournament. In fact, Dowling's squad just missed a third top-five in 2016 when it finished sixth.
• Elodie Van Dievoet had a remarkable 2017 postseason for the Wolverines. After winning the Big Ten individual title, her dramatic 18-foot birdie putt on the 18th hole at the Columbus Regional helped send U-M to the NCAA Finals for a second straight season and gave her a top-10 individual finish (T9th). In the finals, she recorded the highest individual finish for a Wolverine (T4th), and paced U-M to its best finish at the championships (T16th).
• This summer, U-M coach Jan Dowling was an assistant coach for Team International at the 2018 Arnold Palmer Cup at Evian Resort Golf Club in southeastern France. In a Ryder Cup-style tournament co-founded by Arnold Palmer and the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA), the event featured top university/college golfers and matched the United States against an International team.
