Wolverines' Glasgow Voted to Academic All-District Honor

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Defensive back and consistent special teams contributor Jordan Glasgow of the No. 19-ranked University of Michigan football team was voted to Academic All-District 5 honors by the Collegiate Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), it was announced on Thursday (Nov. 16).
This marks the first such honor for Glasgow, who was awarded a scholarship during fall camp after beginning his Michigan career as a walk-on. Glasgow has appeared in 23 games during his career, often serving in the role of special teams ace, by contributing on kickoff and punt coverage teams, and also as a member of the kick-return unit. A reserve strong safety on U-M's nationally ranked defense, Glasgow has seen a career-high in defensive snaps this season as well.
He is second on the team with four special teams tackles, and has been credited with six stops overall this season -- including a three-tackle effort against Minnesota (Nov. 4). He also recorded his first career pass breakup earlier in the year against Cincinnati (Sept. 9).
Glasgow shared co-Special Teams Player of the Game honors after that win against Minnesota with teammate Ben Mason, and earned the team-given award outright for his contributions in wins over Rutgers (Oct. 28) and Purdue (Sept. 23).
In the classroom, Glasgow has earned a 3.71 grade point average while studying for his Business Administration BBA from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business. He is the younger brother of two other Wolverines who also attained academic success at Michigan: current Detroit Lions guard Graham Glasgow (2011-15) and Cincinnati Bengals defensive tackle Ryan Glasgow (2012-16).
Both older brothers earned economics degrees from U-M, and though Graham was a three-year Academic All-Big Ten honoree and Ryan earned U-M Academic Athletic Achievement honors in his own right, neither earned the Academic All-District title that the youngest Glasgow can now claim.
