Mueller's 63 Sets Record; Michigan in Ninth at Jerry Pate National

» The University of Michigan men's golf team posted team totals of 288 and 285 and is ninth after 36 holes of Alabama's Jerry Pate National Intercollegiate.
» Senior Kyle Mueller shot a U-M record 63 (-7) in the second round after recording eight birdies during the round. Combined with his 68 (-2), he is a shot back of first-day leader Mason Overstreet of Arkansas (65-65/130, -10).
» Sophomore Brent Ito is making his second career start and is tied for 35th at 145 (72-73). In fact, Ito's only other start was at last year's Jerry Pate National.
» Junior Nick Carlson recorded an eagle in the first round. Using a 3-wood off the tee on the par-4, 318-yard 15th hole, he landed on the green and then drained a 78-foot putt for the eagle.
» Michigan will play the final round with South Alabama and UAB Tuesday (Oct. 10), starting at 8:50 a.m. CDT off the 10th tee.
