ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Seven members of the No. 3-ranked University of Michigan women's swimming and diving team swam in the Michigan Last Chance Meet on Sunday (Feb. 28) at Canham Natatorium. The purpose of the meet was to improve on season-best times in hopes of individually qualifying for the NCAA Championships (March 14-17 in Atlanta, Georgia). The psych sheet and selections list will be announced Wednesday (March 2).
Of the seven, senior Marni Oldershaw cut the most time, clocking in at 4:10.12 in the 400-yard individual medley, down nearly two seconds from her previous season best (4:12.05). Sophomore Gabby DeLoof shaved almost half-second off her time in the 200-yard backstroke (1:54.25, down from 1:54.71), while freshmen Katie Duggan (500-yard freestyle) and Jamie Yeung (200-yard breaststroke) also saw time drops.
