MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. -- The University of Michigan men's tennis team completed the fall portion of its season on Sunday (Nov. 6) at the Gopher Invitational at the Baseline Tennis Center.
Freshman Connor Johnston highlighted Michigan's singles effort, going 4-0 after capping the tournament with a three-set win over Minnesota's Felix Corwin on Sunday.
Johnston teamed up with junior Carter Lin, who picked up two singles wins, for a 3-1 record on the doubles court. The duo combined to reach the final of their flight, as the tournament featured a best-of-three format between two schools with a doubles match and two singles matches per round.
Juniors Davis Crocker and Alex Knight rounded out Michigan's participants at the event, going 3-1 as a doubles pair. Knight went 2-2 on the singles court, while Crocker compiled a 3-1 record.
Michigan has now concluded fall action and will turn its attention to dual-match action when the calendar flips to 2017. U-M will kick off dual matches against Alabama on Jan. 21.
