Postgame Notes: #2 Ohio State 30, #3 Michigan 27 (2OT)

• The Wolverines fell to 58-49-6 in the all-time series against Ohio State and 27-27-2 in series meetings in Columbus, Ohio. The Buckeyes have won five straight series games and 12 of the last 13.
• It marks the 11th time that Michigan and Ohio State took the field both in the nation's top-five rankings; OSU holds a 7-3-1 in those meetings. It is just the second time that both programs were ranked in the nation's top three. The other was the 1-2 matchup in 2006 at Ohio Stadium.
• Today marked the first overtime in the Michigan-Ohio State series.
• Michigan fell to 10-3 all-time in overtime contests. All three losses occurred on the road.
• Michigan sacrificed a halftime lead for the second time this season. U-M held a halftime lead against Ohio State for the first time since 2012 and just the second time since 2003.
• Senior linebacker Ben Gedeon and senior defensive end Chris Wormley both played in their 50th career games as a Wolverine today against Ohio State. The duo has played in every contest over the past four seasons.
• Long-time coach Dave Adolph served as today's honorary captain for both Michigan and Ohio State. Adolph was an assistant coach under Woody Hayes in 1977 before embarking on a 22-year NFL coaching career. He currently serves as a defensive analyst on the Michigan staff.
• Junior quarterback Wilton Speight returned to the lineup after missing the Indiana game. Speight was 23-of-36 for 219 yards and two touchdowns against two interceptions.
• Senior fullback Khalid Hill posted the third multi-touchdown game of the season -- and his career -- with a one-run rush in the second quarter and eight-yard reception in the third. He owns 10 rushing touchdowns this season and two receiving touchdowns.
• With Hill and senior running back De'Veon Smith, who also owns 10 rushing touchdowns this season, the Wolverines boast two players with double-digit rushing touchdowns for the first time since 2013 (Fitzgerald Toussaint, 13; Devin Gardner, 11).
• Fifth-year senior wide receiver Amara Darboh surpassed the 2,000-yard receiving barrier in the contest. Darboh caught eight passes for 68 receiving yards, upping his career total to 2,026. Darboh has recorded a reception in 32 consecutive games, earning a share of the fourth spot among U-M's all-time leaders in the category. He is tied with Marquise Walker (1998-2001).
• Michigan recorded a season-best eight sacks today against Ohio State. It is the program's most since posting nine against Notre Dame on Sept. 15, 2007. The Wolverines have recorded at least three sacks in each of the last four games.
• Senior defensive end Taco Charlton recorded a career-best 2.5 sacks today against the Buckeyes. He has recorded a sack in each of the last four games. He leads the team with nine sacks on the season and boasts 18 in his career, moving to 10th among U-M's all-time leaders in the category.
• Fifth-year senior defensive Chris Wormley upped his career sack total to 18 with a fourth-quarter sack for a one-yard loss. He shares the 10th position among U-M's career leaders with Charlton. The duo is just one sack shy of the ninth spot, currently held by Robert Thompson (19, 1979-82).
• Fifth-year senior defensive tackle Ryan Glasgow posted his fourth sack of the season -- fifth of his career -- for a loss of four yards in the first quarter. He has posted sacks in each of the last two games and three in the last four. He also owns 4.5 TFL over the last two games.
• Junior linebacker Jabrill Peppers recorded his first collegiate interception, returning it 11 yards, early in the third quarter.
• Senior cornerback Channing Stribling recorded his 16th pass breakup of the season in the third quarter, breaking a tie with Charles Woodson (1996) for the fourth position among U-M's all-time single-season leaders. He needs two more to reach the second spot, currently by Marlin Jackson (18, 2002) and Leon Hall (18, 2006).
• Stribling also posted his first collegiate sack, for a loss of one yard, in the first quarter.
• Senior linebacker Ben Gedeon posted a team-leading 10 tackles against the Buckeyes -- his fifth game this season with double-digit tackles -- including a sack and two TFL. He owns 4.5 sacks this season and 5.5 in his career.
• Senior kicker Kenny Allen posted a career-best 332 punting yards on seven punts, including five punts inside the OSU 20 and three inside the OSU 11. He boasts nine punts inside the 20 over the last two games. Allen has also made 12 consecutive field goals.
