Michigan took the doubles point, winning at No. 1 and No. 2 for the 1-0 lead on the Hoosiers. Michigan's top pair of senior Emina Bektas and freshman Alex Najarian breezed to an 8-0 win for U-M's first doubles victory.
At No. 2, senior Sarah Lee and junior Ronit Yurovsky fell down a break at 4-2 in the early stages of the match. The Wolverine duo won two straight games to get the match back on serve at 4-4. At the same time at No. 3, the U-M pair of sophomore Sara Remynse and freshman Mira Ruder-Hook were down 7-3 before ripping off four straight games to force the match to a tiebreaker. The match was abandoned just three points into the tiebreaker, but the pair was successful in staying on court until the doubles point was secured .

Lee rallied from early deficits in both sets with a 6-4, 6-4 victory at No. 4 to push the Michigan lead to 5-0. Lee was down 4-1 to Caroline Chupa in the first set before reeling off five straight games for the win. The Michigan senior was once again down a break in the early stages of the second before rallying for another 6-4 game triumph.
Najarian won her 11th straight match, winning 6-3, 3-6, 1-0 (2) at the No. 3 slot. Playing a 10-point tiebreaker in lieu of a full third set, Najarian took an early lead en route to the 10-2 win.
