
Chen Qualifies to NCAAs on Day Two of Zones

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- For the second year in a row, the University of Michigan women's swimming and diving team will send a diver to the NCAA Championships, as senior Carey Chen made it through via a fifth-place finish on the one-meter springboard (601.95) on Friday (March 13) at the NCAA Zone C Diving Championships in Columbus, Ohio.
With Chen's addition to the roster, U-M is now sending eight individuals to the NCAA Championships, set to be held Thursday through Saturday (March 19-21) in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Three other U-M divers were in action. Sophomore Keegan McCaffrey finished 20th (267.50), while juniors Sarah Kamstra and Elena Ghormley were 32nd (242.25) and 47th (199.75), respectively.
