After recording 10 points, 11 rebounds and 13 assists, Derrick Walton Jr. became the fifth player in program history and second Wolverine in as many games to record a triple-double, following Caris LeVert, who notched a triple-double last game against Northern Kentucky (13P, 10R, 10A). Walton and LeVert joined Darius Morris (2011, 12P-10R-11A), Manny Harris (2009, 18P-13R-10A) and Gary Grant (1987, 24P-10R-10A) in the triple-double category. It marks career highs in rebounds and assists for Walton.
With the 105-46 win, Michigan now leads the all-time series with Youngstown State, 5-0. The Wolverines have hit the 100-point mark twice this season (102 vs. Charlotte, Nov. 26) and held four opponents to less than 50 points this season.
Michigan's 55 points in the first half are the most the Wolverines have scored in any first half this season and the second most in any half (58 in second half vs. Charlotte, Nov. 26).
The Wolverines shot 61.5 percent (40-for-65) on the night -- 63.6 percent (21-for-33) in the first half and 59.4 percent (19-for-32) in the second half. It marked the second-best shooting percentage for the Wolverines this season (61.9 percent, 39-for-63 vs. Charlotte, Nov. 26). U-M has shot 50 percent or better eight times this season.
Michigan held its opponent to less than 30-percent shooting for the second time this season, limiting Youngstown State to 29.8 percent (17-for-57).
Holding Youngstown State to 22 points in the first half and 24 in the second, Michigan has held its opponents to 25 or fewer points in seven total halves this season.
Michigan hit 12 three-pointers tonight (12-for-30; 40 percent) and has hit 10 or more triples in eight games this season, surpassing last season's total of seven games with 10 or more threes.
Duncan Robinson has hit three or more three-pointers in nine games this season, including eight straight, finishing with four tonight (4-for-7). Overall, he is 43-for-71 (60.6 percent) this season, which ranks fourth in the nation. He scored 14 points tonight and has reached double-digit points in eight games this season.
Nine different players scored tonight for Michigan, including five players with double-digit points -- Caris LeVert (19), Aubrey Dawkins (19), Duncan Robinson (14), D.J. Wilson (12) and Derrick Walton Jr. (10). Michigan has had at least five players in double figures in each of the last three games.
In his 100th game as a Wolverine, Caris LeVert finished with 19 points tonight on 7-for-8 shooting, tying for the team lead in points with Aubrey Dawkins. He has scored in double figures in 11 out of 12 games this season and has been U-M's leading scorer in eight games this season.
Michigan matched a season low with six turnovers and has 10 or fewer in five games this season. The Wolverines assisted on 29 of their 40 made field goals (72.5 percent).
Aubrey Dawkins scored a season-high 19 points on 8-for-11 shooting, which were highlighted by and alley-oop and 360 dunk in the first half.
After missing the past two games with an injury, D.J. Wilson played the final six minutes of the game and finished with a career-high 12 points on 5-for-6 shooting (2-for-3 3FG).
Derrick Walton Jr. has pulled down 46 rebounds (5.1 per game) this season, all of which have come on the defensive end.
