Q. What attracted you to the University of Michigan?
A. I immediately fell in love with the atmosphere of Michigan. When I picture Michigan, it's as if I am looking at a huge family where everyone supports everyone else.
Q. How did you first get involved in softball?
A. I started softball in third grade after I had an awful experience with cheerleading. My sister started playing before me, and because I literally copied everything she did, I too had to start playing softball.
Q. How has it been getting to know your Wolverine teammates?
A. So far, getting to know my teammates has been a blessing. The girls help us feel just a part of the team as everyone else. I am so grateful that I was able to go into college with a family of girls that I know have my back.
Q. What do you like about Michigan/Ann Arbor from what you've seen so far?
A. I like everything about Ann Arbor. It was definitely a different change moving from San Diego to here, but it was one of the best things that has happened to me. It is so beautiful here that I will catch myself staring out of my dorm room window for 30 minutes, just taking in all the amazing scenery.
Q. What do you enjoy when you're not play softball?
A. I have always loved to sing since I was a little girl. I was actually in my high school choir for two years and got the amazing opportunity to sing in Carnegie Hall in New York. Singing helps get my mind off of everything else and actually naturally calms me down.
