Michigan Head Coach Matt Anderson
On positive takeaways from road trip ... "We had an opportunity to really work on our outside shooting. With the way the pools were set up, it was easy for the defense to take away two meters and get in shot-blocking position. We had a good opportunity to score some shots from the outside, which is ultimately what we wanted to do. We also had an opportunity for several players to get time with other and different players. We definitely had combinations that got some good minutes together. That was a goal we had going into the weekend."
On the Wolverines' ability to pull away from teams ... "You want to play better as the game goes on, and that's what we did. As soon as we got comfortable with the setting, the pool and the defenses the other teams were running, we definitely continued to play better as the game went on."
On Presley Pender's play ... "The game plan was to look for the person who had the best look, and today it was her. Great game for her. She has really stepped up her play over the course of the season, and I know that will continue as we approach these next few weekends."
On the play of the Wolverine goalies ... "They had a good weekend, and probably a little better than expected because they were playing in stationary cages. It's the first in about four years that we've played in that type of cage. They both did a very nice job."
