Michigan is now 10-1 all-time against Iowa State. Today's meeting was the first between the two schools since March 17, 2001 (2-0 Michigan win).
The Wolverines finished the Class Act Federal Credit Union Classic with a 3-0 record. U-M is now 41-7 in all games played in Louisville.
Sara Driesenga recorded her third save of the season and now has eight in her career. That moves her into a tie for third most in U-M history with Jennie Ritter (2003-06).
Haylie Wagner was hit by a pitch against Iowa State. She leads the team with six HBP.
Lyndsay Doyle hit her first triple of the year and the team's third. The Wolverines had not hit a triple since Feb. 9 vs. Bethune Cookman.
Doyle tied a career high with two stolen bases. She has done that twice before, most recently vs. Samford on Feb. 10, 2013.
Doyle scored three runs, tying a season high (last: at Louisiana-Lafayette on Feb. 15).
Nicole Sappingfield and Lyndsay Doyle each collected multi-hit games and now each have nine, tied for second most on the team (Romero, 11).
Sappingfield tied a season high with three runs batted in. Her career best is five (vs. Bowling Green, March 28, 2012).
Sappingfield tallied her fourth multi-RBI game.
Sierra Romero tied a season high with three walks (last: Feb. 14 at Louisiana-Lafayette).
