With Michigan's win over Iowa, the Wolverines remain unbeaten at home at 9-0 this season and improve to 10-3-0 overall and 6-1-0 in Big Ten play. U-M is on a three-game winning streak in the Big Ten.
Prior to today's game, Iowa had only allowed six goals this season. The last time the Hawkeyes allowed four goals was in its 2013 NCAA Tournament first-round loss to Notre Dame, 4-1.
Michigan now leads Iowa 15-3-2 in the all-time series.
Michigan's four goals today were the most for the Wolverines since they defeated Toledo, 4-0, on Sept. 5.
Michigan has defeated each of its last two Big Ten opponents by two goals -- Nebraska 3-1 and Iowa 4-2.
With her goal today, Nicky Waldeck has tallied 11 points in the last three games, on five goals and one assist. Waldeck now has nine goals and three assists on the season for a team-best 21 points.
Corinne Harris tied a season-best three points today with one goal and one assist. She is now third on the team in points with 15, on three goals and nine assists this season. Her 20 career assists rank tied for fourth in program history.
Jessica Heifetz recorded her first career assist on Taylor Timko's game-winning goal in the second half.
Michigan outshot Iowa 22-12 and is now 7-1-0 this season when outshooting its opponents.
Michigan's 22 shot attempts today were its second-most of the season and most since recording 27 shots against Bowling Green on Aug. 24, 2014.
