The Wolverines are in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, to take part in the Paradise Jam (Thu-Sat., Nov. 24-26). Director of operations Raina Harmon will provide a daily blog to give fans the inside scoop, as the Wolverines play in paradise.
It's Friday and we are still in paradise. What a wonderful life! Day 4 started off with breakfast, a coaches meeting and film. While the team was in film, Melissa, Stacey and I ventured into town by taxi to grab a few things from Pueblo, the local supermarket. For the most part, the store looked like ours back home EXCEPT the prices of gallons of milk and orange juice which were $8.49 and $7.59, respectively. That's outrageous. I'm very grateful that we don't have to pay those prices back home.
We had some time to kill after film so Melissa put the girls through an aquatic stretch, which the team really seemed to appreciate. Some onlookers gathered around the pool to find out what they were doing, and in the process, I think we gained a few new fans.
Today, we used our banquet room for a walkthrough instead of heading to the gym. It was equipped with a makeshift half court and all (courtesy of Mark and Nick). Then it was time for our pregame meal and we headed to the game. We got off to a quick start and seemed to click on all cylinders as we got a win over Washington State. After the game, we headed back to the hotel, ate dinner and called it a night.
Side Note: Coach Kirkland has all of these bug bites on her leg, so tonight she googled what they might be and they are called "NoSeeU" bugs. Now every time she sees something airborne, she thinks it's one of those bugs. I'm pretty sure that you cannot see them ... but, um-yeah!
Tomorrow will be our last full day and our final game here on the island vs. Marquette. As we play at 9 p.m. again, tomorrow should pretty much be a mirror image of what we did today. One exception though: we will be watching the greatest rivalry in football (Michigan vs. Ohio State).

As I mentioned in an earlier blog, yesterday I was pranked by some of the girls. Well, after careful consideration, I have plotted my revenge. Stay tuned.
Go Blue,
Raina
