• Ashley Bauer's first-round, three-under 68 marks the third time in her career she has equaled U-M's all-time lowest single-round score. It also marks the second this season she has hit the record. She posted a four-under 68 in the second round of the 2009 Mary Fossum Invitational. She first shot a 68 in the only round of the 2008 Wolverine Invitational. In total, there are five players in U-M's "68" Club -- Bauer, Kim Benedict (2000-03), Laura Olin (2002-05), Amy Schmucker (2003-06) and LeAnna Wicks (1999-2002).

• Ashley Bauer's first-round, three-under 68 is not only a U-M record-tying round, it also tied the lowest round ever at the tournament. Cincinnati's Hillery Wilson did it in the final round of 2007 Rio Verde Collegiate Invitationals.

• Michigan's first-round team tally of 291 equals a season best. The Wolverines also totaled a 291 in the third round of the fall-ending Challenge at Onion Creek. U-M has seven team rounds under 300 this season.
