With the win, Michigan improves to 5-2 for the season.
Saturday's game marked the fourth all-time meeting between the Wolverines and the Crimson. U-M is now 3-1 against Harvard.
Stu Douglass led the Wolverines with a season-high 19 points on 7-of-10 shooting (70 percent), including 5-of-7 (71 percent) from behind the arc. Douglass scored 16 points in the second half, marking the highest total scoring output from a U-M player in a half this season. Douglass added four rebounds and two assists in the win.
With his five three-point field goals, Stu Douglass moved into 10th place on the Wolverines' all-time three-pointers list. He passed Ron Coleman (116) and Gavin Groninger (117). Douglass now has 119 career treys.
Zack Novak registered 12 points and set a career high with 11 rebounds. This marks Novak's first career double-double. He is the second Wolverine this season to record a double-double. Darius Morris tallied 21 points and 10 assists against Gardner-Webb (Nov. 21).
With his 12 points against Harvard, Zack Novak became the 103rd player in Michigan history to record at least 500 career points. Novak now has 502 in his career.
Darius Morris led U-M with five assists. Morris has led the Wolverines in assists in every game this season. Morris added 13 points, five rebounds and a steal in the win.
Saturday's contest marked the second consecutive game Michigan had three players record double-digit scoring totals. Stu Douglass (19), Darius Morris (13), and Zack Novak (12) each scored in double figures for the Wolverines.
Michigan shot 47 percent (25-for-53) from the field for the game (37 percent first half, 58 percent second half).
U-M won the rebounding battle, 36-30. The Wolverines are now 4-0 this season when they lead in rebounds.
Michigan's nine turnovers in the first half marked the highest turnover total in a half this season. The Wolverines finished with 14 turnovers, tying a season high.
The Wolverines wore their white jerseys for the third time this season. Michigan is now 3-0 this season when wearing white.
For the seventh straight game, Michigan went with the starting lineup of Darius Morris, Zack Novak, Tim Hardaway Jr., Evan Smotrycz, and Jordan Morgan.
Saturday's contest marked the first "Zero Waste Game" event held at Crisler Arena. Coordinated by the U-M Student Sustainability Initiative, during Saturday's game, all cups, plates, forks, napkins, and trays were made of natural materials that can break down to eventually become nutrients in soil for agricultural applications.
