Jordan Morgan posted his third straight game with double figures in points (11). Morgan had a career-best 20 points against Gardner-Webb on Nov. 21 and 12 against Bowling Green on Nov. 18.
Jordan Morgan posted his third consecutive game of eight rebounds and leads U-M with 7.5 boards per game.
Stu Douglass came off the bench to score in double figures (11) for the second straight game. He had 10 points in the win over Gardner-Webb. During the double-figure stretch, he is 5-for-11 from long range.
Darius Morris closed with a team-best six assists; he has five or more assists in his last three games.
Michigan forced Syracuse into 14 turnovers, the most by any U-M opponent this season.
Despite out-rebounding Syracuse on the offensive end, Michigan was outrebounded for the first time this season, 39-37.
For the first time this season, Michigan was held to less than 30 points in a half, as the Wolverines scored just 19 in the second half.
Michigan had a season-low four free throw attempts.
John Beilein faced Syracuse for the ninth time in his coaching career and remains winless in those games.
For the fourth straight game, Michigan went with the starting lineup of Darius Morris, Zack Novak, Tim Hardaway Jr., Evan Smotrycz, and Jordan Morgan.
