The Wolverines extended their undefeated streak to five games (3-0-2).
Michigan defeated a ranked opponent on the road for the first time since downing No. 4-ranked Notre Dame, 1-0, in the second round of the 2003 NCAA Tournament (Nov. 16, 2003).
The Wolverines beat a ranked opponent on the road for just the fourth time in program history. The Maize and Blue went to Bloomington, Ind., on Sept. 17, 2000, and came away with a 2-0 victory over No. 22-ranked Indiana. During the 2003 season, Michigan marched to South Bend, Ind., twice and beat the ranked Fighting Irish.
Michigan improved to 6-10-2 all-time against Minnesota.
Junior/sophomore Haley Kopmeyer earned her 12th career win, matching Jori Welchans (12, 1994-96) for fifth on the U-M career list.
Kopmeyer also collected the 150th save and 10th shutout of her career.
