• With the win, Michigan moved to 10-7 (3-2 Big Ten) on the season. This marked the second win against a ranked team this year (both against the No. 15-ranked team; previous win was against Ohio State on Jan. 3). It was also the 503rd all-time win for U-M at Crisler Arena.
• Michigan is now 1-2 all-time against Connecticut (1-0 at home).
• The game featured 10 ties and seven lead changes.
• Manny Harris scored a game-high 18 points. He also added eight rebounds, two assists, and one steal in the win. He also went 8-of-10 from the free throw line.
• With his eight points against Connecticut, DeShawn Sims passes Courtney Sims (1,329) and Steve Grote (1,330) to move into 25th place on the Wolverines all-time scoring list. Sims now has 1,335 points in his U-M career.
• With his 11 rebounds against Connecticut, DeShawn Sims became the 23rd player in U-M history to accumulate 600 rebounds. His performance against Connecticut also moved him up three spots into 20th place on the Michigan all-time rebounds list. He passed John Robinson (602), Thad Garner (603), and C.J. Kupec (609). This was his fifth game recording double-digit rebounds. It also was the sixth time this season (and first since Dec. 13 against Detroit) that a Michigan player recorded double-digit rebounds.
• With 8:31 to go in the first half, Anthony Wright scored his first point in five games when he connected on a three pointer. It was also his first three-point field goal since Dec. 2 (Boston College). He finished with a season-high nine points, shooting 3-of-5 from behind the arc.
• For the seventh time this season, Michigan had at least three players score double-digit points (Manny Harris - 18, Stu Douglass - 13, and Zack Novak - 10). The Wolverines are 6-1 in these contests.
• Michigan had 20 second-chance points despite losing the rebounding battle, 34-18.
• Michigan recorded 14 assists and committed 13 turnovers in the win. This snaps a two-game streak in which the Wolverines failed to record more assists than turnovers.
• Michigan shot 9-of-28 (32 percent) from behind the arc, while the Wolverines held Connecticut to just 1-of-11 (9 percent) from three-point range. This marks the second consecutive game in which U-M has held their opponent to just one three-point field goal made.
• U-M forced Connecticut into 17 turnovers in the contest. It is the 14th time this season the Wolverines have forced an opponent into double-digit turnovers.
• Michigan recorded 10 steals against the Huskies, marking the sixth time this season the Wolverines have reached double-digit steals. Michigan is now 3-3 in these contests.
• In the spirit of the "Maize Out" at Crisler Arena, Michigan wore its maize uniforms for the sixth time this season. The Wolverines are now 5-1 when wearing maize.
• For the eighth straight game, Michigan went with starting lineup of DeShawn Sims, Manny Harris, Stu Douglass, Zack Novak and Laval Lucas-Perry.
