
Fall Events Scheduled for Baseball Program

ANN ARBOR, Mich.-- The University of Michigan baseball team announced today (Aug. 18) a series of events taking place this fall, beginning with the fourth-annual alumni tailgate and awards ceremony on Saturday, Sept. 26.
The tailgate event will takeplace at the Wilpon Baseball Complex, home of historic Ray Fisher Stadium, andis open to all baseball alumni and their guests and begins two-and-a-halfhours prior to Michigan's football game versus Indiana. The team will hand out awards from the 2009 season at the tailgate event.
The following day (Sept. 27), the baseball program will host its eighth-annual golf outing at the U-M Golf Course. The outing is open to the public, but space is limited, with reservations due by September 12. The format is a four-person scramble with an 8 a.m. check-in and breakfast before a 9:30 a.m. shotgun start. The entry fee of $130 per person includes green fees, cart, on-course beverages, lunch and dinner. Flight prizes will be awarded and there also will be a raffle and silent auction. Proceeds benefit the U-M baseball team.
The team will wrap up fall practices with the annual Maize and Blue game on Saturday, October 10, beginning atnoon. Following the intrasquad contest, there will be a lunch reception at the U-M Champions Center, open to the public at a cost of $20 per person.
