ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- University of Michigan athletic director Bill Martin announced today (Friday, Dec. 18) the promotion of Bitsy Ritt from Associate Athletic Director to Senior Associate Athletic Director effective immediately.

"I am pleased to recognize Bitsy for her accomplishments given the wide ranging areas of responsibility," said Martin. "I know she will provide this athletic department with outstanding leadership."

Ritt, who was Michigan's head women's tennis coach for 25 years, oversees the administration for 22 Olympic sports including their strength and conditioning and event management programs. She also represents Michigan on the Big Ten Sports Management Council.
