Postgame Notes: Illinois 38, Michigan 13

• Fifth-year senior kicker Jason Olesnavage matched his career high with two field goals at Illinois. He converted on kicks of 32 and 42 yards on successive possessions in the second quarter. The only other time he scored two field goals was at Michigan State earlier this season on Oct. 3.
• Freshman Tate Forcier passed for a career-best 257 yards at Illinois. He completed 13-of-23 passes for 257 yards after completing 7-of-9 passes for 76 yards in the opening half.
• Senior superback Carlos Brown led the rushing effort with 25 carries for 94 yards and scored one touchdown on a two-yard run.
• With his 17-yard run with 34 seconds left in the third quarter, Carlos Brown surpassed the 1,000-yard mark in career rushing yards. He has 1,010 career yards following the 94-yard effort at Illinois.
• Redshirt freshman Roy Roundtree earned his first career start at slot receiver. Subbing for regular starter Martavious Odoms, who was injured vs. Penn State, Roundtree led the receiving effort with career highs in receptions (four) and receiving yards (92).
• Roundtree's 76-yard pass reception was the longest pass play of the season for the Wolverines and the team's third-longest play of the year. It trailed the 90-yard run by Carlos Brown vs. Eastern Michigan and 94-yard kickoff return by Darryl Stonum vs. Notre Dame.
• Junior/sophomore safety Mike Williams set his career high for stops for the second straight week, posting a career-best 16 tackles and an assisted TFL at Illinois after recording nine against Penn State last week. He registered 10 stops in the first half.
• Kevin Leach made his second start of the season and responded with 11 tackles and his first career sack. He wore jersey number 10 in the game.
• Michigan sacked quarterback Juice Williams on three straight third-down plays to end series for the Illini.
• Junior/sophomore defensive tackle Ryan Van Bergen sacked Williams to help set up Michigan's second scoring drive. Van Bergen posted three tackles and one sack.
• Senior defensive end Brandon Graham sacked Williams on the ensuing series on third down. Graham registered seven tackles, 1.5 TFLs, one sack and blocked a punt for the second straight game.
• Obi Ezeh had his streak of 29 straight starts at middle linebacker snapped at Illinois.
• The Wolverines' first two scoring drives covered double-digit plays (13 and 10).
• Redshirt freshman Brandon Smith contributed special teams tackles on the first two kickoff returns of the game.
• Today is the first time that the Wolverines have played the Illini on Halloween since 1942 when U-M claimed a 28-14 victory at Michigan Stadium before 33,000 fans.
• Sophomore slot receiver Martavious Odoms traveled but did not see game action following a knee injury sustained last week against Penn State.
• Michigan's game captains at Illinois were Kevin Grady, Brandon Graham, Greg Mathews and Tim McAvoy.
