Michigan Head Coach Matt Anderson
On the team's performance... "We played well enough to win, and that is what this team does. We know how to win, and we play well enough to win. My initial reaction is we did everything we wanted to. We pushed the pace at the beginning, and once we got up we decided to do what we do best and play some defense."
On the turning point in the game... "It was a case that we were trying to do something and -- the girls did what they wanted, but not in the order I wanted them to. I said let's just relax, Leah Robertson will go out there and make a few steals and we can get aggressive on offense and that is what happened."
On the play of Leah Robertson... "I looked at our volunteer coach (Theo Ludwick) and said, Leah is dialed in, she wants that ball. On every pass, she was all over it -- whether she was on that side of the pool or not, she just appeared. It was amazing."
U-M Junior Julie Hyrne
On the team's level of play... "I think we played really well. After that win against Indiana at (the Western Division Championship), everything is really coming together and we are really confident that we can do what we have to do."
On tomorrow's championship game... "I think we are just excited. We've hit every goal along the way and now we have to finish it. We just need to stay confident and not to get scared. If we follow our game plan, I think we can definitely win it."
U-M Sophomore Leah Robertson
On advancing to the championship game... "It is an exciting feeling because we didn't get to play in that game last year. The unity on our team right now is really overwhelming and it shows in our play."
On any auxiliary motivating factors... "(Head coach Matt Anderson) always tells us that those who show up for the big games are going to win and I was just really motivated. The crowd was loud and we were pumped up."
U-M Junior Brittany May
On her reaction to the win... "This has been our goal the entire year, so I am really excited. We've worked so hard and we've taken it one game at a time, and that has made all the difference."
On the defense... "The girls played such good defense. Anyone that was in (the pool) got it together and was able to know where they were supposed to be -- especially on six-on-five. The girls really got it together. We knew where we wanted the shot to come from and that really helped me."
