Michigan Coach Kathy Teichert
On the tournament weekend ... "We played excellently yesterday. We had to sleep on a lead. It was a very frustrating day out there today. I thought we would have played better today. The girls are very frustrated with how they played. They wanted it today and sometimes the pressure mounts and they are not ready to handle that pressure. I did not ask them what went wrong today. I know that we have to regroup from this and get back at it. We have to look at the positives from yesterday."
On the course conditions today ... "On the last day, our course was set for a championship. There is no questions the pin locations are harder. I thought our players would have responded to that. It is not like they haven't played anything on this course that hasn't already been there. For whatever reason we did not get the job done and that is disappointing. They are really frustrated right now, especially after yesterday since it was so good. We did not start off well; that caused some frustration. That frustration mounted and affected the game."
U-M Junior Lydia Bentez Coln
On her tournament weekend ... "I got a little ahead of myself. I started off well, then had a few bad holes and got a little nervous. It took me a while to get it back. But after that, it was too late. It was a new experience to have to sit on a one-stroke lead. We just weren't with it today. We started bad and got nervous, tentative ... that is what happened. We have to look at what we did well and move forward because there were a lot of good things that happened this weekend. We are getting better. We did a lot of good things especially the first two rounds. We have to pick the things we have to work on in practice and just focus."
