
Smith Skips Duke Trip for Academic Obligations

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- University of Michigan men's basketball coach John Beilein announced that junior guard Jerret Smith (Romulus, Mich./Romulus HS) has decided to not join the Wolverines for this weekend's game at Duke in order to complete some academic obligations.
"When Jerret and our academic support staff feel he has caught up with some very important academic requirements, we will meet to re-evaluate his status for future games," said Beilein.
Smith has played in 65 games in his career with 13 starts. The point guard has averaged 4.2 points, 2.7 assists and 2.0 rebounds a game in his career.
