Michigan Head Coach John Beilein
On the game ... "You have credit Harvard. They played really well tonight. They are a good dribble drive team and their guards are pretty experienced. We just need to continue to work hard and try to improve with each game. We just have had so many games in a row. We have not been able to work on our mistakes whether that is passing, dribbling, or boxing out. We haven't been able to workout, we've been playing, playing and playing. We have not had a chance to rest."
On if the lack of practice has hindered the team ... "I am not using that as an excuse. I am saying that over the last two weeks, we know what it is like to play games. We haven't had a chance to make improvements because we can't go over the things we have learned in games in practice the way we would like to."
On prepping for Harvard ... "We really only had Thursday where we just really tried to step through things and Friday we had a short practice trying to go over everything and then we needed to rest. With only one day to that that it is really hard. My young guy's heads are spinning right now on how you play college defense. I actually thought our defense was pretty good tonight. I thought one of the big issues was blocking out and our offense and our fast break that gave us so much trouble. We had a lot of fast break opportunities and didn't score. I don't remember the last time we did a 3-on-2, 2-on-1 drill, it might have been eight days ago because we have been trying to save our legs and improve our halfcourt defense."
