A co-captain for the Wolverines, Jackson earned All-Big Ten first team honors from the coaches and media this season. Teams threw away from Jackson almost 87 percent of the time during the regular season. He has contributed 38 tackles, five tackles for loss, one sack, one forced fumble, one interception and four pass breakups this year. Jackson is the team's active career leader in tackles (186) and pass breakups (34), with his PBU total ranking second all-time on Michigan's career list.
The AFCA has selected an All-America team every year since 1945. The organization's Division I-A All-America Selection Committee is made up of three head coaches from each of the AFCA's nine districts. The coaches in each district are responsible for ranking the top players in their respective districts, based on submissions from head coaches in their region, to select the AFCA All-America team.
