Parzuchowski Seventh on Rings at Winter Cup Event Finals

LAS VEGAS, Nev. -- Senior Conan Parzuchowski (Northville, Mich./University of Detroit Jesuit HS) of the University of Michigan men's gymnastics team placed seventh on still rings at the event finals of the Winter Cup Challenge on Saturday (Feb. 8). Parzuchowski was one of five U-M student-athletes who competed in the two-day Winter Cup and the only current Wolverine who made it to the event finals of the USA Gymnastics-sponsored event, which featured 80 of the nation's top gymnasts.

Former Wolverine and current volunteer assistant coach Justin Toman was also in action at the finals Saturday. Toman suffered a fall during his parallel bars routine and finished in eighth place with a score of 7.450 after tying for second during the prelims with a 9.250.
The fourth-ranked Wolverines will return to collegiate competition next Saturday (Feb. 15) as they travel to Minneapolis, Minn., to take on the Minnesota Golden Gophers at 7 p.m. CST.
