PARK RIDGE, Ill. -- Senior Tealin Kelemen (Riverton, N.J./Moorestown Friends School) of the University of Michigan women's swimming and diving team was named the Big Ten Conference Diver of the Week, the league office announced Wednesday (Nov. 12). It marks the third time in her four-year career that Kelemen has earned the weekly honor.
Kelemen earned the distinction after an outstanding performance in Michigan's double dual sweep of No. 20-ranked Florida State and Michigan State last Friday (Nov. 7). Kelemen picked up a pair of victories on the one- and three-meter springboards, posting scores of 267.35 and 304.80, respectively. Both scores are season bests for Kelemen.
Kelemen is coming off a solid junior campaign in which she finished with a career-best seventh-place finish on the platform board and a top-15 finish in the one- and three-meter competitions at the NCAA Diving Zones.
The Wolverines are in action this weekend, taking on Ohio State on Friday (Nov. 14) in Columbus, Ohio. The 5 p.m. meet will be held at Mike Peppe Natatorium.
