Series Information: Michigan trails in the all-time series with Indiana, 3-4, but has gone 3-0 against the Hoosiers since they re-instituted their program in 2000, outscoring IU by a 23-1 margin ... Against Central Michigan, the Wolverines are 22-14-2 and have won 13 straight, dating back to the 1990 campaign.

This Week's Storylines
On A Roll -- The Wolverines enter this weekend's action with victories in nine of their last 10 outings, including a season-high five-game winning streak. In addition, U-M is 4-0 at home in its last four games after dropping its first two matches at Ocker Field.
Chasing Records ... -- Senior April Fronzoni, a candidate for the Honda Award as the nation's top field hockey player, enters this week's action four goals shy of the all-time record at Michigan, held by Mary Callam, who recorded 64 from 1976-79. Fronzoni has 60 career goals, including a team-high 12 this season, to sit in second place.
... And Tying Records -- April Fronzoni is deadlocked with Mary Callam as the all-time points leader. Callam recorded 136 points from 1976-79, while Fronzoni notched her 136th point with an assist on Monday (Oct. 6) at Louisville.
Nine Lives -- Michigan enters Saturday's (Oct. 11) match against Indiana with victories in each of its last nine Big Ten contests, dating back to the 2001 campaign.
Are You Ready For Some ... Field Hockey -- Monday's (Oct. 13) match at Central Michigan is the third of three straight rare Monday matches for the Wolverines. Overall, four of Michigan's matches this season will be played on a Monday, where it owns a 2-1 record.
News and Notes ...
Holding Steady At No. 5 -- The Wolverines remained fifth in the latest STX/NFHCA Division I National Coaches Poll. U-M is one of four teams from the Big Ten in the rankings with Iowa (6th), Penn State (8th) and Michigan State (9th) all behind Michigan.
A Real Winner -- Freshman Jill Civic ranks second on the team in goals with eight, including her first career overtime game-winner on Monday (Oct. 6) at Louisville. Civic, who ended a season-high two-game goal-scoring drought against the Cardinals, leads the team with three GWG.
Back On Track -- After being held pointless in three games, her longest drought of the season, senior Stephanie Johnson notched a goal on Monday (Oct. 6) at Louisville. Johnson, who has five goals this season, owns 35 goals in her career, tying her for eighth on U-M's career goal-scoring chart.
Lending A Helping Hand -- Junior Adrienne Hortillosa has notched a point in seven of her last nine matches, totaling 2-7-11 during that time. Hortillosa, who is tied for the team lead with seven assists, notched a career-high 13 helpers last season.
What A Year -- Junior Jessica Blake ranks third on the team in points with 6-5-12 totals after 12 games, surpassing the amount of goals and points she registered in the first two seasons of her Michigan career, which spanned 39 games. Blake, who has already established career-highs for goals, assists and points, has notched a point in eight of her last 10 outings and has scored in four of her last six appearances.
Achieving Perfection -- Freshman Beth Riley has been perfect in her six appearances this season, sporting a 6-0 record. Riley, who has started in five contests this season, including each of the Wolverines' last four outings, owns a 0.89 goals-against average and has allowed only three goals in her last six games after giving up three in her collegiate debut.
In A Sea Of Numbers, We Found This -- In the latest national statistics (as of Oct. 5), compiled by the NFHCA, Michigan ranks eighth in scoring offense (3.64 goals per game) and 13th in margin of victory (+1.91 goals per game) ... April Fronzoni ranks in four categories -- goals (T-8th), goals per game (T-5th), points (T-9th) and points per game (T-8th) ... Beth Riley is second in the nation in goals-against average (0.74) and 10th in save percentage (.826) ... In the latest Big Ten statistics, through games of Oct. 5, April Fronzoni ranks second in points (27), points per game (2.45) and goals per game (1.09). She also ranks third in goals scored (12) ... Lori Hillman is third in both assists (7) and assists per game (0.64), while Adrienne Hortillosa (6, 0.55) is tied for fifth in both categories ... Beth Riley owns the top GAA (0.74) in the Big Ten and ranks second with three shutouts ... Michigan ranks among the top three teams in the league in all offensive categories.
Free Hits -- With its 1-0 win over Iowa, Michigan has won nine of the last 11 meetings with the Hawkeyes, including five straight ... The Wolverines' double-overtime contest at Louisville was their first since a 3-2 (2ot) victory against William & Mary in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Nov. 11, 2000.
Next Up - Michigan State and Hofstra ...
The Wolverines will face a pair of opponents next week, facing No. 9 Michigan State and Hofstra. Michigan will travel to East Lansing, Mich., on Friday, Oct. 17 for a 5 p.m. matchup with the Spartans before returning home to entertain Hofstra in a non-conference affair at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 29 at Ocker Field.

Not Afraid To Play The Tough Ones -- Michigan has 10 of the 20 teams ranked in the latest STX/NFHCA Division I National Coaches Poll on its 2003 schedule, including the top three teams in the poll -- No. 1 Wake Forest, No. 2 North Carolina and No. 3 Maryland.
Tough To Swallow -- Michigan's three losses this season have come at the hands of the top three teams in the latest STX/NFHCA Division I National Coaches Poll, suffering setbacks against Wake Forest (No. 1), North Carolina (No. 2) and Maryland (No. 3).
Training in Europe -- The squad traveled to Amsterdam, The Netherlands, during the 2003 preseason to compete against club teams in the Amsterdam area as well as Cologne Rot-Weiss, the team junior Laura Woitkewitsch played for before coming to U-M. Freshmen 15 -- Freshman Jill Civic appeared in the first-ever edition of Sports Illustrated On Campus as one of the nation's top 15 newcomers - the Freshmen 15 -- in all NCAA Division I sports.
Five Alive -- With her Big Ten Co-Offensive Player of the Week award on Sept. 8, senior April Fronzoni tied the school record for most Big Ten Player of the Week honors, held by Kelli Gannon (1997-2000).
