Wolverines Take Third Place at Miami Invitational

OXFORD, Ohio -- The University of Michigan women's cross country team placed three runners among the top 10 finishers at the Miami Invitational on Saturday morning (Sept. 9) en route to a third-place team finish.
Pacing the Wolverines was sophomore Lindsey Gallo (Freehold, N.J./Howell HS), who placed seventh with a time of 18:43. Sophomore Andrea Parker (Livonia, Mich./Stevenson HS) finished eighth, five seconds behind Gallo, and senior Katie Ryan (Rochester Hills, Mich./Rochester Adams HS) rounded out U-M's top three finishers by placing 10th (19:08).
The Wolverines finished the meet with 54 points while Miami and Ball State placed first and second with 48 and 49 points, respectively. Miami also won the individual crown as Andrea Kremer finished with a time of 18:04.
Michigan's next meet will be Saturday (Sept. 15) at the Spiked Shoe Invitational in State College, Pa. The Wolverines have won the last two Spiked Shoe Invitationals.
