Q U O T E S
Head Coach Kathy Teichert
On the tournament ... "Overall, I am happy, but not happy. We've been practicing so tough lately, but we just haven't produced during play in tournaments. The tournament wasn't bad, but we just simply should have done better. It was good to beat a few of the teams we did, but I would have liked to see us get some of the other Big Ten teams. We need to start showing the type players we are. We have a lot of talent and are a lot better than we are showing. We can't make the mistakes that we are -- mistakes that we should never be making in the first place. We need to play the way we are capable of and the way that I know we can."
Junior LeAnna Wicks
On her play in the third round ... "Yesterday, I had a problem with my fairway woods. So after the second round I went back and thought about what I needed to do and how to fix the problem and went straight to the range in the morning and worked it out. The combination of that and really concentrating on my putting helped me in the third round. Last week, I wasn't putting well so I went back to my old grip and just stayed focused on each putt."
On the tournament ... "Overall we knew that we could have done better. We know that we have some things to work on before heading to Iowa next weekend. We have to regain our confidence and finish on the last couple of holes. We have to let go of the bad shots and look and concentrate on the shot we have in front out us. I think that we got a little fatigued during the second round. We need to make sure that we keep the mindset of knowing that we have three rounds in the tournament and start strong and finish strong."
