Kosanke Selected to GTE Academic All-District IV Team

Kosanke, co-captain of the Wolverine team, started 61 of Michigan's 62 games in 2000, and finished the year as the team's second-leading hitter behind a career-high .352 batting average. She tallied 14 doubles, four home runs and 36 RBI. A four-year starter, Kosanke was named to the NFCA All-Great Lakes Region First Team and the NCAA Regional 8 Championship and Campbell/Cartier Classic all-tournament teams. Kosanke ranks among the all-time Michigan top 10 in games played, starts, hits, runs, doubles, home runs, RBI, sacrifices and walks.
CoSIDA District IV includes NCAA Division I sports information officials and student-athletes in the states of Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee and Alabama. All members of the GTE Academic All-District teams carry a 3.25 or better cumulative grade point average.
