During his playing days for Bennie Oosterbaan’s football squad from 1954 to 1956, Terry Barr played both offense and defense and performed punting duties. He earned All-Big Ten Conference honors as a senior and was named to the College All-Star football squad. Barr was drafted by the Detroit Lions where he played an All-Pro career from 1958 until 1965. Barr wound up his U-M career in 1956 by scoring a pair of knockout touchdowns in the first quarter in a 19-0 victory over Ohio State.
