Gustavo Borges

From 1992-1995, Gustavo Borges was one of the top freestyle swimmers in collegiate swimming. He won 10 NCAA individual titles and was a 24-time NCAA All-American and 20-time Big Ten champion. He led Michigan to the 1995 NCAA team championship and four straight Big Ten titles. He was a four-time Olympian (1992, 1996, 200 and 2004) for Brazil, winning four medals (two silver, two bronze).  Borges is the first Brazilian swimmer to claim more than one Olympic swimming medal. He was inducted into the International Swimming Hall of Fame in 2012. Photo Gallery
