University of Michigan Hall of Honor

Diane Ratnik
- Induction:
- 2009
Diane Ratnik remains one of the most decorated members of the Michigan volleyball team in history. Ratnik quickly established herself and earned a starting spot as a freshman. Her talent and versatility made her a formidable presence on the court and helped lead U-M to a conference championship in 1981. Ratnik continued her volleyball career after college, serving as the Canadian National Team captain from 1985-1988, and she participated in both the 1984 and 1996 Olympic Games. A middle blocker, she stunned the volleyball world in 1984 by switching to setter and becoming one of Canada’s best at that position.
