Connie Hill

Connie Hill was one of the finest defensemen to ever play hockey at Michigan. Hill starred on the Wolverine hockey squads from 1946 to 1948 and was selected an All-American his junior and senior years. The Ontario native was a member of the all-tournament team for Michigan's 1948 NCAA champions. His list of career highlights includes a hat trick in a NCAA semifinal victory over Boston College. Hill set a career scoring record for Michigan defensemen that stood for 27 years, while his record 32 career goals by a defenseman stood for over three decades. Hill displayed tremendous leadership qualities as evidenced by his selection as team captain for three years. In 1962, he was elected to the U-M Hockey Hall of Fame.
