While captain and most valuable player on the 1946 basketball team, Bob Harrison earned All Big Ten honors in 1946-1949. He graduated with a B.S. degree from Michigan and went on to a five-year career with the Minneapolis Lakers, winning four world championships. While playing for the St. Louis Hawks from 1954-1956, Harrison played on two All-Star teams, finishing his career with the Syracuse Nationals. He later coached at Kenyon College and Harvard University.
