Bill Mogk

Bill Mogk

2002

Bill Mogk had an outstanding four-year (1950-53) baseball career at Michigan and earned three varsity letters. Legendary baseball coach Ray Fisher asked Mogk to fill in many different gaps and play many different positions. Mogk played second base as a sophomore but moved to first base as a junior. During that year, he did not make a single error, becoming the first Wolverine to play error-less for an entire season. In December 1952, Mogk was elected by his teammates as the captain for the 1953 squad, which went on to win the College World Series.
