University of Michigan Hall of Honor

B.F. Chamberlain
- Induction:
- 1982
Bud Chamberlain was a standout on the baseball diamond at Michigan, where he played for three years and captured the Big Ten batting title. He was coached by Ray L. Fisher and found himself in the starting lineup at third base in his first season of varsity play as a sophomore. By his junior year, he had earned a reputation as the "finest fielding third baseman" in the Big Ten. That same year, his final batting average was a healthy .352, and he led U-M in RBI while hitting game-winning home runs against Western Michigan and Purdue. He also won the Big Ten batting title in 1942.
