Concessions: Alcohol Regulations & Sales
The University of Michigan is committed to creating a positive experience for all fans and will serve alcohol in a safe and responsible manner. As part of that commitment, all applicable state laws will be followed and the following regulatory features will be implemented:
» Alcohol sales will begin one hour before the announced start time and last until the start of the third period, at which time sales will discontinue.
» In order to ensure only those 21 and over are allowed to purchase and consume alcoholic beverages, all patrons will be required to show ID at every purchase.
» A guest may only purchase or be in possession of a maximum of two alcoholic beverages at any one time. If an individual is already in possession of one beverage, they will only be permitted to purchase one additional beverage.
» Signage meeting the requirements dictated by applicable local and state regulations will be posted and will include the stated legal age for the purchase of alcoholic beverages and identification policies of the venue, drink limit, and cut-off time.
» Alcohol compliance teams will be stationed throughout the arena to encourage responsible consumption, oversee policy adherence throughout the venue, and monitor behavior.
» Alcoholic beverages will be sold at select locations throughout the arena. Water and other food items will also be available for purchase at all locations where alcohol is sold.
» Alcohol will not be available for purchase in the student section.
» Alcohol is not permitted to leave Yost. Guests are not permitted to leave the venue and return on the same ticket.
» Fans are encouraged to recycle their beverage cans.
» Beer, seltzer, and wine options will be available. All beer and seltzers will be sold in cans not to exceed 16 oz.
Stay in the Blue: Safe and Responsible Alcohol Consumption
» Everyone is welcome at Yost Arena. Many fans choose not to drink because of religious or cultural beliefs, being under 21, illness, family history, or being in recovery. If you choose to drink, be mindful of your behavior to create the best fan experience for all.
» If you're choosing to drink, consider using Stay in the Blue strategies such as eating protein-heavy food and hydrating. Set a drink limit using standard drinks and alternate alcoholic with non-alcoholic beverages.
» Safety is U-M's top priority. Remember buzzed driving is drunk driving. Don't drink and drive. Plan ahead for your transportation needs. Have a designated sober driver or call a ride share service to help get you home safely.
Doors Open
We highly recommend getting inside the arena doors in plenty of time to enjoy pregame festivities and avoid typical congestion near game time. Showing up early and becoming familiar with your surroundings will be the best way to make your game day experience a great one. Yost Ice Arena gates open 60 minutes prior to puck-drop.
Elevator
Yost Ice Arena has one elevator available for use by guests with a disability for access to the second level seating areas. The location of the elevator is near the lockers on the first level, west side and is indicated on the map.
Exit/Re-Entry
Guests are not permitted to leave Yost Ice Arena and return on the same ticket. Re-admittance to Yost ice Arena will be allowed only in the case of an emergency. Those needing to exit Yost Ice Arena for this purpose must see an Event Team member at the doors prior to exiting.
Fan Conduct
Michigan Athletics is committed to providing a fun, respectful, and inclusive environment for all fans, student-athletes, faculty, and staff. Participants and guests should not be subjected to harassment or intimidation or any other kind of disruptive behavior while attending Michigan Athletic Department events. Any fan who engages in disruptive behaviors -- including but not limited to appearing inebriated; entering the field of play or throwing objects in the stands or onto the field; harassing or intimidating others; or directing profane, insulting, abusive or highly critical language at another person (such as racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic or demeaning slurs) -- will be removed from the event and may face arrest and prosecution in accordance with local, state, and federal laws.
A fan's season tickets may be subject to termination if their behavior or that of the person(s) holding their ticket(s) is found to violate this code of conduct. Any fan behavior that directly or indirectly interferes with the enjoyment of the game by others or conduct of the event will be promptly addressed and may result in revocation of the ticket license and removal from the venue.
If someone is interfering with your enjoyment of the game or event, please contact an Event Team Member for assistance.
First Aid
HVA First Response Teams are located throughout the arena and are available for assistance. An ambulance and EMT staff are on site at Yost Ice Arena during all games in the SW corner, ice level by the Zamboni pit and are prepared to assist any guest in need. Should you require medical assistance, please see a Yost Ice Arena Event Team Member.
Lost & Found
Found items can be given to a Yost Ice Arena Event Team Member or a Department of Public Safety Officer. Anyone wishing to inquire about a lost item may do so at Guest Services or the Yost Facility Office in the NW corner of the lobby or call (734) 764-4600.

Media Entrance/Will Call
The designated entry point for media and media will call is located at the NW doors of the north lobby of Yost Ice Arena.
Parking
Access to very limited game day/credit card sales parking is available at the Athletic Lot and the Glick Lot from State Street. Hoover Street provides another entry point into the Athletic Lot, and once State Street becomes too congested with traffic as game time nears, this becomes the only access point into the lot. Please check the Michigan Hockey Parking page on MGoBlue.com for the most up-to-date parking information for each game.
Champion Boxes and Club Level Parking
Designated parking has been set up for Champion Boxes and Club Level ticket holders. This area is located between the baseball stadium and the indoor track building. A parking staff member will monitor the lot and a Champion Box or Club Level parking permit is required to park in this area.
Miscellaneous Parking Information
The University of Michigan will not be responsible for loss of or damage to vehicles parked for an ice hockey game or their contents. Holder of ice hockey parking permits should clearly display their permits on the dashboard of their cars to assist parking personnel in directing them to the proper lots. Permits should be displayed at all times (even when entering the game) to avoid being towed.
All drivers should be alert to instructions from the uniformed police officers and parking personnel who will be directing traffic. Patrons are reminded that normal parking regulations apply on game day and all vehicles must be parked in one (1) designated space. Vehicles parked in fire lanes, at the end of aisles, and in any other illegal location will be ticketed and/or towed. If you are unable to find a legal parking space, please see a parking attendant for assistance. Spaces are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Spaces may not be reserved for later arriving vehicles unless authorized by the UM Athletic Department. If you arrive at your designated lot and it is full, you will be directed to the next available lot. Fans may not undertake any commercial, promotional, advertising or marketing activities in UM lots without written authorization from the UM Athletic Department.
Merchandise
Officially licensed University of Michigan souvenirs are available at M Den Shops located on the east concourse.
