Big House 5K: Race Information
The 12th annual Big House 5K is an exciting run/walk in the Ann Arbor area that courses participants through the University of Michigan campus and the Stephen M. Ross Athletic Campus before finishing on the field of the revered University of Michigan football stadium, the Big House.
The 2025 race, owned and managed by the University of Michigan Athletic Department working in conjunction with the Ann Arbor Track Club and Run Toledo, will take place on April 13, 2025.
Since the inception of the race in 2014, the U-M Athletic Department has raised over $1.4 million for the charitable beneficiaries.
The Course
The 5K race provides a scenic course, highlighting many historic U-M buildings. With a relatively flat course, the Big House 5K is a great opportunity to set a personal-best time!

Volunteers
The goal of the Big House 5K is to be a truly unique community event. With the help of volunteers dedicating their time and energy, we welcome participants of all fitness levels to our campus and provide a memorable experience.
Race Information
Race Packet Pick-Up
There are several opportunities for packet pickup, including a new pickup the weekend before the race.

- To avoid high volume and ensure you start the race on time, participants are strongly encouraged to pick their packets up prior to race day!
All race participants will be emailed detailed packet pick up and parking information.
Race Awards
- Prize for Overall Male and Female: 2 club tickets to a 2025 Michigan Football game and a Buddy's Pizza gift certificate
- Prizes for Age Group Awards for First, Second, Third (Male & Female): First place receives a ribbon and a Buddy's Pizza gift certificate; Second and Third place receive a ribbon
Race Timing
RunToledo is timing the Big House 5K. Race participants will receive a bib equipped for on-course timing.
Race Corral Starting Info
The Big House 5K is one of the largest 5K-only races in the region. To ensure a timely start to the race, participants will be assigned a corral based on estimated finish time. When you line up in the starting gate, you will line up with your assigned corral.
If participants want to start the race together, we recommend submitting a similar estimated race time that aligns with the slower participants in your group.
All strollers will be assigned to the last two corrals for safety purposes. No exceptions will be made.
More information and instructions will be shared with race participants 2-4 weeks prior to the event.
