• Defeated Oklahoma's Dom Demas, 6-4 SV, in the MSU Open quarterfinals
• Posted a 4-1 record en route to third place at the Edinboro Open (Feb. 2), including two major decisions and a technical fall
Placed eighth at the Midlands Championships (Dec. 29-30) with a 5-3 record; earned wins over Northwestern's Alexander McKenna (4-3) and Central Michigan'’'s Andrew Marten (4-1)

• Named the 2017 Michigan recipient of the Dave Schultz High School Excellence Award
• Four-time Michigan state champion, winning at 140 pounds (2017), 135 pounds (2016) and 125 pounds (2015) and 103 pounds (2014); teched his way to a state title as a senior, outscoring his opponents, 87-23, over four matches
• Career prep record of 167-0, including a 34-0 mark as a senior
• Captured the 138-pound freestyle title at the 2017 Junior Nationals in Fargo
• Five-time Fargo All-American; also reached the 113-pound cadet freestyle final in 2014
• Earned top-four finishes at UWW freestyle nationals in four straight years (2014, '15, '16, '17), earning 63kg/138-pound junior runner-up honors in 2016
