
Wolverines Place 10 on Academic All-District At-Large Team

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Ten student-athletes from the University of Michigan were named to the 2025-26 Academic All-District At-Large Team, selected by College Sports Communicators on Tuesday afternoon (June 16). To receive the honor, student-athletes must have completed at least one year of classes and have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade-point average while hitting various participation requirements.
Five female student-athletes were honored in Lily Clapper (women's gymnastics), Jordyn Harrison (women's Lacrosse), Mara Janess (women's golf), Logan Roeder (rowing) and Abby Tamer (field hockey). On the men's side, CJ Reilly (men's lacrosse), Josh Eernisse (ice hockey), Taye Ghadiali (wrestling), Akshay Puri (men's gymnastics) and Aaronson Mansberger (men's gymnastics) were honored.
Lily Clapper
Clapper made her way into the Michigan lineup on the uneven bars in her final season as a member of the women's gymnastics team and scored a career best 9.850. The Ann Arbor, Mich., native is a graduate of the Ross School of Business and is a two-time Big Ten Distinguished Scholar, a three-time WCGA Scholastic All-American and a three-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree. Clapper was a member of the 2023 Big Ten championship team as well as the 2023 Big Ten regular-season championship team.
Jordyn Harrison
Harrison graduated with a degree in sport management and is a two-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree and a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar. The Livingston, N.Y., native brought home a slew of accolades in her final season, including: IWLCA West/Midwest All-Region second-team honoree, ILWomen Nike Honorable Mention All-American, USA Lacrosse Magazine Honorable Mention All-American, first-team All-Big Ten and IL Women Nike Honorable Mention Midseason All-American. The senior defender anchored the defense, as she led the Wolverines with 32 ground-ball pickups and ranked second with 26 caused turnovers. Harrison tallied six games with two caused turnovers or more, including causing four turnovers each against Ohio State and Johns Hopkins. Harrison also had nine contests with two ground balls or more, with a season-best five ground balls against Oregon.
Mara Janess
A 2026 Big Ten Sportsmanship Award honoree, Janess capped her Michigan career by earning Academic All-Big Ten honors for the third straight season while competing in 10 tournaments with nine starts, leading the Wolverines in four events. She finished with a 74.54 scoring average and recorded six sub-par rounds, highlighted by a pair of career-low-tying 69s at the Illini Women's Invitational. Janess also established career lows for both 36-hole (142) and 54-hole (211) tournament totals while earning her degree in sport management with a minor in business from U-M's Stephen M. Ross School of Business.
Logan Roeder
A three-time Big Ten Distinguished Scholar (2024-25-26) and two-time CSC Academic All-District honoree (2025, '26), Roeder is accomplished in the classroom. The Chicago, Ill., native has been U-M's top coxswain throughout her career. She earned her undergraduate degree in psychology and this spring, graduated with her master's in social work. She has also been honored as a CRCA Scholar Athlete three times (2024, '25, '26) and earned a Leaders and Best Award (2024) at the Maizies.
A team captain, Roeder was a member of two Big Ten championship-winning teams during her career (2023, 2024). She was an All-Big Ten first-team selection in 2026, and a Pocock/CRCA All-America honorable mention in 2025. Roeder has won three Big Ten medals with the 1V8 (gold, 2023; silver, 2024; bronze, 2025) and has helped guide the boat to 12th, seventh, 12th and 13th-place finishes at the NCAA Championships during her tenure. With Roeder leading the team's top boat, U-M finished each season with a top-12 national rank.
Abby Tamer
Named Michigan's female recipient of the 2025-26 Big Ten Medal of Honor, Tamer was a NFHCA second-team All-American this season, adding to her first-team recognition last season, was a two-time unanimous selection to the All-Big Ten first team. She led U-M in scoring in each of the last two seasons, posting eight goals and three assists last fall, and over her four competitive seasons, accumulated 33 career goals, 26 assists and 92 points to finish among Michigan's all-time leaders in all three categories. She is a three-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree and graduated with a master's in sport management this spring after earning an applied exercise science undergraduate degree last year. She was recently named an assistant coach on the UMFH staff.
CJ Reilly
Reilly, a political science major, is a two-time Big Ten Player to Watch, who recorded 16 points with 10 goals and was one of five Michigan players to record double-digit goals for the Wolverines. The Cold Spring Harbor, N.Y., native is a two-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree and a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar.
Josh Eernisse
Eernisse continues to collect awards after earning a degree in sports management this spring. Michigan's male recipient of the 2025-16 Big Ten Medal of Honor, Eernisse was also this year's winner of the NCAA Elite Scholar-Athlete Award. A native of Eagan, Minn., Eernisse is a three-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree and Distinguished Scholar. While at Michigan, Eernisse helped the Wolverines to two Big Ten Tournament championships and two Frozen Fours appearances. He finished his career with 34 goals and 31 assists in 151 career games, and signed an NHL contract with the Columbus Blue Jackets this spring.
Taye Ghadiali
Ghadiali earned heavyweight All-America honors with a third-place finish at the NCAA Championships -- his second career All-America finish -- and captured the 2026 Big Ten heavyweight title. He led the Wolverines with a 28-3 record with 17 bonus wins, including 10 technical falls, to rank among the national leaders. Ghadiali, who came to Michigan with a bachelor's degree in trust and wealth management and a Master of Business Administration degree from Campbell, earned Academic All-Big Ten honors this season as a student in U-M's social work program.
Akshay Puri
A two-time Academic All-Big Ten and Distinguished Scholar honoree, Puri helped lead the team to a third-place finish at the NCAA Championships after coming in fourth on the still rings and earning his first career All-America citation. The junior took home silver on the still rings at the Big Ten Championships in the team's sixth straight title win to be named to the All-Big Ten Second Team. A Chicago, Ill. native, he was a CGA Regular Season All-American, ranking fourth on the still rings with an average score of 13.994, and earned five still rings event titles during the regular season. Puri is pursuing an undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering.
Aaronson Mansberger
Mansberger captured silver on the pommel horse at the NCAA Championships to be named an All-American for the first time in his career, helping to lead the team to a third-place finish. The sophomore finished third on the pommel horse at the Big Ten Championships, earning All-Big Ten Second Team honors, as the Maize and Blue won its sixth-straight team title. An Academic All-Big Ten honoree, Mansberger was named a CGA Regular Season All-American on the pommel horse after ranking third on the event with an average score of 14.363. His 14.900 at the Ohio State Open was the second-highest score of the season. The Carmel, Ind., native won six pommel horse event titles and four CGA/Big Ten Specialist of the Week honors.
