
Fourteen Individuals, Two Relays Selected for NCAA East First Round

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Fourteen individuals and two relays will represent the University of Michigan women's track and field team at the NCAA East First Round hosted by Kentucky in Lexington, Ky., from Wednesday through Saturday, May 27-30.
Michigan finished 12th at the Big Ten Outdoor Championships last weekend, with Sidney Green earning silver in the 400-meter hurdles (57.46 seconds) for the second straight year.
Freshman Emmry Ross landed on the podium in the 800-meter run, finishing fourth with a time of 2:04.80, while Hannah Pricco finished fourth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase (10:14.87).
Kourtney Rathke cleared a personal-best 4.13 meters (13 feet, 6.5 inches) in the pole vault to finish 11th for the No. 6 mark on the program performers list.
For each individual event contested at each of the first-round sites, the top 48 declared student-athletes will be accepted into the competition. For each relay event, the top 24 declared relay teams will be accepted. Combined events (heptathlon and decathlon) are not contested at the first-round sites.
Twelve competitors from each individual event and twelve teams from each relay event advance from each first-round site. The 2026 NCAA Division I Track and Field Championship will be hosted by Oregon at Hayward Field from Wednesday through Saturday, June 10-13.
