
Wolverines to Host First and Second Rounds at VTC

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- The University of Michigan women's tennis team received the No. 12 seed and will host the first and second rounds at the Varsity Tennis Center this weekend (Sat-Sun., May 2-3) as the bracket for the 2026 NCAA Tournament was announced Monday (April 27). U-M is hosting the first and second rounds for the 12th time since 2010 and for the fourth straight season.
Michigan (19-6) swept the Big Ten titles this season, winning the Big Ten championship with a 12-1 conference record and knocking off No. 5 Ohio State in the Big Ten Tournament yesterday (Sunday, April 26) in Columbus.
Joining Michigan in Ann Arbor are Florida (16-7), Toledo (13-8) and Illinois State (18-6). On Saturday, U-M will face Illinois State in the first round at 1 p.m., just after Florida versus Toledo at 10 a.m. The final is set for 1 p.m. on Sunday.
Admission is free to the Varsity Tennis Center is free for the event.
