
Trio Leads Wolverines in Second Round of Big Ten Championships

GLENDALE, Calif. -- The University of Michigan women's golf team posted a second-round 305 on Saturday (April 25) and sits 15th overall with a 36-hole total of 601 at the 2026 Big Ten Championships at Oakmont Country Club.
The Wolverines will close the championship Sunday (April 26), paired with Maryland and Minnesota. Michigan will tee off from the 10th hole beginning at 8:50 a.m. PT.
The Maize and Blue again received balanced scoring throughout the lineup, as seniors Lauren Sung and Sydney Sung, along with freshman Jaymie Ng, each carded 76s. Freshman Reese Ng added a 77 to round out Michigan's team score.
Through 36 holes, Reese Ng continues to lead the Wolverines and is tied for 51st at 151 (73-77). Lauren Sung (74-76) and Jaymie Ng (74-76) are also tied for 51st. Sydney Sung is tied for 71st at 155 (79-76), while senior Mara Janess is tied for 82nd at 158 (75-83).
USC maintained the team lead after a second-round 279 (-1) and owns a 36-hole total of 556 (-4). Bailey Shoemaker moved into the individual lead at 135 (-5) after firing a second-round 65 (-5), one of three Trojans currently among the top six individually.
