• U-M is 18-6 on the road in the Big Ten since the start of 2021.
• In the series against Minnesota, Michigan is now 78-26-3 across 107 all-time meetings. U-M is 27-3 across the last 30 games in the series.
• Michigan is 74-24-2 all-time when playing for the Little Brown Jug.
• Running back Jordan Marshall scored the team's first points with his third rushing touchdown of the year, a five-yard score early in the second quarter.
• Cornerback Smith Snowden recorded his first interception as a Wolverine and the fifth of his career in the final minute of the first quarter to help set up Marshall's rushing score. The pick marked the third for U-M this year (Jyaire Hill, Jonah Lea'ea).
• Linebacker Nathaniel Staehling added a second interception in the final minutes of the second quarter and returned it 79 yards for a touchdown. It was Staehling's third career pick-six and his first interception as a Wolverine. It marked the second interception returned for a score for U-M this season (Lea'ea, nine yards).
• Staehling's return was the longest on a U-M interception since Will Johnson's 86-yard touchdown return against Fresno State in the 2024 season opener -- also a touchdown.
• Staehling's trip to the end zone means Michigan has scored at least one defensive touchdown in three consecutive trips to the Twin Cities (2020: Donovan Jeter, 15-yard fumble return; 2023: Will Johnson, 36-yard interception return, and Keon Sabb, 26-yard interception return).
• Defensive end Lugard Edokpayi Jr. made a special teams splash with his tipped punt in the second quarter. It was U-M's first blocked or tipped punt of the season and the first since Michigan blocked a punt against Purdue last year (Nov. 1, 2025).
